Cheap shade nets cut costs mostly by compromising material quality, not by improving production efficiency.   How low-cost shade nets reduce their expenses   1. Use recycled plastic material instead of new HDPE The biggest cost gap comes from raw materials. Low-price shade nets often mix recycled plastic scraps, waste plastic film and mixed recycled pellets. Recycled materials have unstable composition, poor toughness and contain many impurities. Such nets turn brittle quickly under sunlight, fade easily and break after several months outdoors.   2. Little or no UV stabilizer added UV inhibitor (UV additive) is the core ingredient to extend the service life of shade net. Cheap products reduce or completely remove UV additives to cut cost. Without UV protection, the net will degrade rapidly under strong sunlight. It may work for a short time, but becomes fragile and tears within one season.   3. Lower net weight and thinner yarn Another common cost-saving method is reducing gram weight. The yarn is thinner, mesh looser and tensile strength drops significantly. These nets are easy to tear during installation or strong wind. The actual shading rate may also deviate from the labeled value.   4. Simplified weaving and edge treatment Cheap shade nets skip reinforced edges and button holes.
